About a year or two ago, many applicants fail to meet the minimum standards for one of the three Express Entry programmes. It occurred as a result of a lack of educational qualifications, employment experience, or not enough English or French language proficiency band.
In 2021, the case was reversed, many candidates were way above the required scores. According to IRCC website, over 47,000 candidates have above 450 CRS score. For a whole year, there was no draw for Federal Skilled Worker.
Many candidates are still looking for fresh ways to enter the country. I have compiled various possibilities that you can use to gain entry into Canada.
1. Provincial Nominee Programs
Each Canadian province has its own immigration programme, known as the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). These immigration schemes are tailored to meet the specific needs of individual provinces. As a result, provinces choose economic immigrants who wish to make a long-term commitment to the province. In 2012, the provinces chose nearly 90,000 economic immigrants. Only Quebec has the authority to choose its own immigrants. Immigrants might be nominated by the remaining provinces.
-Requirements
Every province and territory in Canada has its own set of PNP requirements. Every province is seeking for employees with the necessary job experience for the unique labour market.
The candidate must be fluent in English by taking the English language proficiency test, have a high school diploma, and work experience. You must demonstrate your ability to contribute to economic progress as well as your willingness to settle in that province.
2. Study in Canada
For students who are studying in Canada for at least two years, the Canadian government has provided a variety of immigration options. Because of their previous experience in Canada and the high quality of education provided by Canadian educational institutions, Canadian students are always the first priority of Canadian companies. The Canadian government is always willing to accept international students who have completed their study in Canada.
Many permanent residency immigration schemes provide preference to applicants who have ties to Canada through education. Students having ties to a specific province, as well as Canadian job experience and educational credentials, may be able to get permanent residency in Canada. You could come study in Canada. When you get a study permit, you can work for 20hrs a week and get a post graduate work permit after study. Studying in Canada creates limitless opportunities to immigrate to Canada.
3. Atlantic Immigration to Canada
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) welcomes immigrants to Atlantic provinces by giving talented foreign employees with the opportunity to become permanent residents of Canada. Immigrants have the best job chances in Montreal and Toronto, and this policy helps both employers and immigrants equally.
You must have the following to apply for immigration under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.
Complete your education at a publicly financed Atlantic institution or have a job offer from participating employers.
You have a good proficiency of French and English languages (minimum of CLB4).
You’ve completed your post-secondary education.
You have a skilled based job experience certificate or graduation (at least 1 year)
You have enough money to settle in Canada.

4. The Rural and Northern Immigration program (RNIP)
The Canadian government encourages persons who are educated and have work experience to apply for permanent residence so that they can contribute to the country’s economic growth. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot was established to bring economic benefits to smaller towns and to provide permanent residence to qualified foreign individuals willing to work in the participating communities.
